In development — v1.0 coming soon 🥋

Your BJJ Training,
Tracked Properly

Log every session, keep a private journal, map out your game, and hold on to the techniques you're actually working on. Built for grapplers who want a real record of their training — not a habit tracker in a gi.

* Mat Log is not on the App Store or Google Play yet. Store links will appear here at launch.

Built Around How People Actually Train

history_edu

Session Log

Gi or no-gi, class or open mat, rounds rolled and who you rolled with. Fast enough to fill in before you leave the changing room, detailed enough to be worth reading back.

edit_note

Training Journal

The details that fade by the next morning — what worked, what got you caught, the correction your coach gave you halfway through a round. Private to you, always.

account_tree

Game Plan

Map positions to the paths out of them. Branch, loop back, come full circle — because that's what a real game looks like, and a straight line isn't.

video_library

Reference Library

Save the instructionals and clips you keep meaning to drill, and attach them straight to the position they belong to. Links and thumbnails only — never your footage.

target

Focus Periods & Targets

Pick one thing to work on for the next few weeks, set a target you can actually hit, and see honestly whether you held to it.

label

Your Own Tags

Name positions and techniques the way your gym names them, then see what you've genuinely been drilling this month instead of what you meant to.

ios_share

Save From Anywhere

Share a YouTube or Instagram clip straight into Mat Log from any app. It lands in your library with its title and thumbnail already filled in.

auto_awesome

Optional AI Notes

Turn a saved instructional into notes you can skim, or ask questions about your own journal. Entirely optional, and always a draft you approve.

verified_user

Gym-Verified Records

Link a Flow Roll gym and your attendance and belt promotions get confirmed by the gym itself, instead of resting on your word alone.

Works With No Gym Attached

Mat Log is yours first. Everything in it works whether or not your gym uses any software at all — no invite code, no waiting on a coach, no half-app until someone approves you.

If your gym does run on Flow Roll, you can link it. That doesn't unlock features. It upgrades the record: attendance and belt promotions become gym-verified instead of self-reported, and your gym's schedule stays read-only inside the app.

  • check_circle Full app, solo. Every feature works without a gym linked.
  • check_circle Your journal stays yours. Linking a gym never shares your notes, library, or game plans.
  • check_circle Unlink anytime. Records your gym already verified stay in your log.
  • check_circle No video uploads. The library holds links and thumbnails, never footage.

FAQs

Everything you need to know about Mat Log.

When is it out? expand_more
It's in active development and not yet on the App Store or Google Play. Store links will appear on this page at launch — email us if you want a nudge when that happens.
Do I need my gym to use it? expand_more
No. Mat Log is fully usable on its own. Linking a Flow Roll gym is optional and only changes how your attendance and belt records are verified — it never gates a feature.
Does it cost anything? expand_more
The training log, journal, game plan, and reference library are the product. Optional AI-assisted features are a separate upgrade you buy through the App Store or Google Play — never something your gym buys on your behalf.
Does it upload my rolling footage? expand_more
No. The reference library stores links and thumbnails, never video files. Mat Log does not host or analyse your footage.
Can my coach read my journal? expand_more
No. Journals, session notes, game plans, and your library belong to your account alone. Linking a gym gives it no window into them.
Can I get my data out? expand_more
Yes. You can request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account and everything in it, from the support page.
